A typical Saturday here. Then about 3 pm heavy rains moved in.

There is not much to report today. My little friend has been here and Mobuy, my granddaughter, is here now. Phai and I fed the ducks and she assured me that Ning’s father in law was going to feed the chickens at the farm today. After I ate my soup for lunch I looked over and Ning was holding a baby chick. I walked over and Phai told me she had rescued it from the dogs mouth. Ning loves animals and was really upset. Not sure what can be done about the dogs. This is not the dog that killed our ducks but is one of the dogs the Ning’s father in law takes care of (photo below). This happened while NIng’s father in law was at the farm. I do not think the little chick will survive. I have never seen them go after the chickens before but perhaps they got a taste of the sport of killing our ducks and we are going to continue to have a problem now.

Mobuy came over about 2:30 and about 3 pm heavy rains hit. A lot of wind, lightening and rain. Mobuy slept through it. I did not take any photos today but yesterday I forgot to load the photos I took with my good Sony camcorder to my computer. The ones I posted yesterday were all taken with my phone so I will post some from the camcorder today.

I am really excited about the big announcements coming from Apple on September 9th. Rumor has it the new iPhones can be preordered beginning September 11th at midnight California time. Unlike ordering our watches I will not have to set my alarm for 3 am because midnight California time is 2 pm in the afternoon here. I will just have to make sure I am not napping at that time. I will make my decision on which model to buy after I watch the presentation on the 9th. That I will not watch live because I would have to stay up until midnight here. I will watch it when I wake up the next morning. I am anxious to see if they announce a new 12.9” iPad and a new Apple TV. I would bet on the Apple TV but think the new iPads may wait until October so they don’t overwhelm the presentation. It also means we are really close to IOS 9 with a lot of great new features along with OS X El Capitan. Exciting time for Apple Fanboys like me.

Phai walks the perimeter of my farm. You see by the expression on her face she likes it there as much as I do.

Ning’s mother in law works to keep the perimeter path clear. She works like this all day long.

Our three dogs were at the farm yesterday. The large dog is the one that had the baby chick in his mouth this morning.

Our dogs were barking like crazy at the river and I didn’t know why until I saw these two standing on the other side barking back.
