I had the chance to speak a lot of English today.

I had a relaxing day at the house catching up and computer work and learning some new software. I actually microwaved Mac and Cheese for dinner. I bought it frozen at 7 eleven. It wasn’t great but it was a change of pace. Phai’s niece who is the mother of my little pal “Pan” had her boyfriend from Australia arrive in the village today. He lives in Sidney and I was able to sit and talk to him for awhile. I was speaking English and he was speaking English with a heavy Australian accent. We managed to understand each other fairly well.

I did get to see my new granddaughter for a few minutes this morning. Her mother stopped here on her way to visit other family. I was on a FaceTime call with my dad so he got to see his new great granddaughter live via FaceTime. I think he really liked that. I didn’t realize she would be leaving so soon so I didn’t get a chance to take any photos but she hasn’t changed that much. Just a little bigger.

Tomorrow there is a big celebration not too far from here for a family member that is becoming a monk. Phai said there will be lot of people and dancing and karaoke along with food and drink. She said we will be there about ½ a day and she said I am welcome to take as many photos and shoot as much video as i want so I may have a more interesting blog tomorrow.

We are only 4 days away from our trip to Chiangmai/Chiangrai so we are looking forward to that.
