Rained for a short time this morning but some progress on house.

Okay, the optimist in me tries to look at the positive side. They framed out a new bigger opening for a larger bathroom door, got the rest of the cinder blocks installed all the way up on my bedroom and got the bedroom door opening further prepped. Also on the positive side two men came this morning and spent some time talking with Phai and my son in law and going up on the roof to take a look. When they left I asked who they were and Phai said she had called them and they have done these type of roofs before. They said it will be okay and explained what to do. I was excited until I realized my son in law was not working working on the roof today. Then finally about 4:30 this evening one of the men came back and he is up on the roof now working with my son in law. I am almost afraid to watch but before I post this I will go back and check on their progress. Well, at 5:45 pm it started to rain so they scrambled down from the roof. After Phai talked with the guy she told me the story. She called everybody to help and all said they are too busy. Finally she got these guys to come and take a look. The one who came back this evening agreed to work on it when he can and said he will be able to give us half a day tomorrow afternoon. Okay, one more time I need help with the finger crossing. 1.) That he knows what he is doing and 2.) It doesn't rain tomorrow so he can work. The day the roof is complete I will through a party on this blog. Don't ask me how but I know I will be relieved and excited.

Phai's son A called via FaceTime again from Korea and he has a place to live and has been assigned a position in the factory. Phai said he is happy and everyone working around him is from Thailand. He was worried before he left about what he would be working on and had concerns it could be huge tractor tires or wheels. He showed us the two parts he makes in the picture is below. I do not know what they are but it looks like clean work on small parts and he was smiling and seemed proud.

My FaceTime rang this morning from my father and he was with my sister at McDonalds. Apparently his new lawn service cut the Verizon Fios line and he is without internet, phone service and television. Thank goodness my sister is staying with him and can use her cell phone. He said Verizon is scheduled to be on site before noon Thursday.

Oh my goodness, the sky just opened up and it is pouring rain. Well, at least I know my new gutters are working. Poor Ning has to go to the market to get the meat and veggies for tomorrow. I brought a complete rain outfit from Florida and she has that on and is hoping it slows enough to make the run on the motorbike. It did stop and she is back from the market now. It is a very nice cool evening after the rain.

A uses FaceTime to us the plastic parts he makes in Korea.

No way I will hit my head on these doors. The one on the right will go to the Utility room and the one on the left to the bathroom.
