We will sleep in the new house tonight.

We brought all our soap, shampoo, razor, etc. to the new bathroom and took our showers in the new shower this morning.  Love the large shower. I love being able to step out of the shower onto a shower mat and then put my clothes on. Using the old shower I had to get dressed while standing on the wet floor because the whole room was the shower and the family would be in the room outside the shower. '

Our son in law drove Phai and I to the big hardware store today. We went on a buying spree. I bought a really nice tool kit with most of what I need and along with a few loose tools. Bought a second matching shower curtain, towel racks, weather stripping, shower hoses, door knob for the bathroom door with ability to open unlock the door from outside the bathroom in an emergency, a nice big shower caddy that will mount in the corner of the shower, a bathroom scale (I haven't used it yet) and a few other miscellaneous items. The store had a custom curtain shop so we stopped  there and Phai and I both walked from different directions to the same curtains. We both love the color and pattern. Our son in law had measured before we went but forgot about the bedroom door (we need privacy once in awhile). They gave us an estimate and said he would come out to measure and it would take a week and a half to custom make the curtains. Phai gave him all our information and as we left I asked her when he could come. She said today. Now this was already 2:30 pm and we were in Nong Bua Lamphu about 20 miles from home. Then we stopped at the same furniture store we bought our bed from and bought a new closet. They said they could deliver it today. So we got back to the restaurant at 4:30 and sat down for a bowl of soup when the furniture truck pulled up with our new closet. We helped get that to our bedroom and just finished our soup when the man showed up to measure our windows. We agreed to have him do the work and we will have trouble waiting a week and a half.

The son in law just panicked  Phai and said the door knob set I bought is no good because there is no key so if it is locked you cannot get in from the outside. He had it out of the package and they were talking to Phai's son in Korea trying to figure out what to do. I took the knob set, pushed the button in, showed them it was locked, pulled a coin out of my pocket and and unlocked it with the coin. Once again the falang isn't as stupid as they would like to think. Thank goodness I have my own basic tools now and can do a few things myself.

We will move our clothes over tonight and sleep on a mat and move the bed over tomorrow. I will take pictures of the closet tomorrow but have a lot to do now so will sign off for today.
